How it works

From a reference to something you can actually play.

You do not need to know how to build a guitar tone from scratch. Tell SeekTone what you want, test the result, and adjust from there.

Tell us the target

Use an artist, song, album, a description, or combine them. Pick Rhythm, Lead, Clean, or Acoustic / Piezo. Your setup is optional.

Generate the preset

SeekTone builds the tone for a supported plugin and gives you a downloadable preset file to put through your rig.

Play and refine

Mark the result Good, Almost, or Not Right. Keep the original and refine one direction at a time when you need an adjustment.

Made for real setups

Your rig is part of the equation.

The same preset can behave differently from one guitarist to another. SeekTone gives you a strong place to start, then lets you adapt from there.

What to expect

A strong starting point for your rig.

SeekTone creates a usable approximation of the tone you requested. It is not an identical clone. Your guitar, pickups, playing, interface, monitoring, and the original production all affect what you hear.

Archetype: Petrucci X and Archetype: Nolly X are currently supported. Older Petrucci versions without X are not supported yet. More plugins can join the SeekTone experience as they become ready.
